COLD HELL (Die Hölle)
Özge is a young Turkish-born taxi driver who attends evening classes and she is also a Thai-boxer. She rarely speaks and trains hard. One day she witnesses an extremely brutal murder. The suspect is an insane serial killer, inspired by Islam. Convinced that Özge has seen him, he is ready to do anything to find her. A life-and-death struggle between them ensues.
STEFAN RUZOWITZKY
Born in 1961 in Vienna (Austria), he studied theatre, film and history in Düsseldorf. Since 1987 he worked as a freelance director, writer and editor for TV documentaries, comedy and live shows. In the early 1990s, he started directing music videos and commercials. After Tempo, The Inheritors became a festival hit, winning more than 20 international awards. The Counterfeiters, which he wrote and directed, won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Film in a Foreign Language.
