ANGLE MORT (Blind Spot – Dode hoek)
Jan Verbeeck, the uncompromising commissioner of the Antwerp drug squad is hugely popular with the people and the media. The country is thrown into commotion when he announces that just before the elections he is leaving the Police force to join the extreme right party VPV. On his last day as a policeman, he leads an investigation that takes him to Charleroi where a raid on a drug lab sets in motion a series of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events.
NABIL BEN YADIR
After training in electromechanics, he began his film career in 2001 with a small role in Beyond Gibraltar by Taylan Barman. Four years later, he appeared in The Axe by Costa-Gavras, and directed his first short film, Clown Outing. In 2008, the same Taylan Barman casted him as Youssef in 9 mm. In 2009, he wrote and directed the comedy Les Barons, his first feature film, starring Nader Boussandel, Julien Courbey and Edouard Baer. In 2013, he casted Olivier Gourmet, Tewfik Jallab, Hafsia Herzi and Jamel Debbouze in The Marchers, a dramatic comedy based on the true story of a peaceful march for equality and against racism.
