A single father taking care of his son since his wife fell into a coma enters a very ordinary building. After a nice carousel ride, he signs up for an exclusive club. The membership lasts for one year, and can be cancelled only if certain conditions are met. The man enters into a whole new world of pleasure, and seems to enjoy the intrusion of dominatrixes in his life. Until the day the girls get too close to his family, still clueless about the man’s activities. Mustering all the courage he has always been lacking in his work as a mattress salesman, he will eventually try to cancel his membership.

MATSUMOTO HITOSHI

Born in Amagasaki (Japan), he made his acting debut in 1982 as part of the comedy duo Boke. He is considered an innovator in Japan’s comedy scene, as evidenced in the collection of skits entitled Visualbum (1998). He also wrote and directed several of his own TV projects. He made a sensational debut in film directing with his feature Big Man Japan (2007), screened at the Festival de Cannes Directors’ Fortnight. He then directed Symbol (2009) and Saya Zamurai (2011), which demonstrated his talent for visual gags and mimes.
