Les Poings Contre Les Murs (Starred Up)
Eric is a violent teenage offender prematurely transferred from a juvenile to a sinister adult prison facility. Struggling to stand up to the guards and his inmates, he must also face his own father, Nev, a man who spent most of his life behind bars. Eric and a bunch of other prisoners learn how to channel their rage and quickly follow new rules of survival. But some forces at play threaten to destroy him...
DAVID MACKENZIE
Born in Corbridge (UK), he made his feature debut with The Last Great Wilderness, a wacky revenge story. In 2003, he directed Young Adam, the movie adaptation of Alexander Trocchi’s existentialist novel, and swept over four Scottish BAFTAs. His film Hallam Foe (2007) was appraised by the critic and earned him, amond other awards, a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. In 2010, he gave a futuristic tone to his work with the tale Perfect Sense. Starred Up marks his entry into the making of genre films.
