CORRUPTION 2 - LE SANG DES BRAVES (Brave Men’s Blood / Borgríki 2: Blóð hraustra manna)
In order to take down a major criminal organization, the ambitious Head of the Internal Affairs unit of the Reykjavik P.D. decides to investigate a corrupt police lieutenant. Tipped off about the lieutenant’s criminal dealings by a former crime kingpin, now imprisoned, he places a female former narc officer undercover to spy on him. These actions set him off on a dangerous path as he aims to catch both the lieutenant and the drug Lord.
OLAF DE FLEUR JÓHANNESSON
Born in 1975 in Búðardalur (Iceland), he studied physics in Reykjavik and graduated in 1995. He participated in numerous film projects. After working two years for a production company that focused on TV documentaries, he created Poppoli Pictures, his own independent company. The films produced by Poppoli won different prizes at the Icelandic Film Awards. His film City State, prequel to Brave Men’s Blood, was screened in Competition at the 2013 Beaune Film Festival.
